The Lord Jesus has spoken to us through His Word about the fact that He is going to reward us in heaven. He has also said that He would speak to us by His Holy Spirit about what He has provided. 2 Peter 1:3
I Corinthians 2:9-10 says, "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God."
Revelation 11:18 states that God will reward His saints and servants. Revelation 22:11-12
Be encouraged, Christians! A wonderful day is coming when you will enter into a perfect world built just for you. And you are going to love it!
The Basic Reward
Whether we have been saved a lifetime or a few minutes before we go to heaven, each of us who are really born again will receive a basic reward. God depicted this basic reward in the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard in Matthew 20. God will give a basic reward to every Christian, and this is it:
1) We will see Jesus face to face, and we will know Him as He knows us. John 14:3, I Corinthians 13:12
2) Complete, eternal peace. No more sorrow, no more crying, no pain, no anxiety, no animosity forever.
3) A glorified body - Romans 8:29, "Whom He justified He also glorified." I John 3:2, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him: for we shall see Him as He is." Philippians 3:20-21, 1Corinthians 15:42-44
4) We will see and enjoy the Holy City, New Jerusalem. Revelation chapters 21-22
5) A heavenly dwelling place - John 14:1-3 "In my Father's house are many mansions (dwelling places). No homeless in heaven!
6) The Millenniel Reign - We will live and reign with Christ in the Earth for 1,000 years. Revelation 20 All Christians, men and women, will be made priests unto Christ.
Every human being is going to a judgment. The Bible says, It is appointed to man once to die, and after this the judgment. Jesus will be sitting on that judgment seat, and what we do in this life will be judged. And every Christian will be rewarded for serving the Lord on Earth.
God cares about our lives here, and He will answer our prayers, but He also cares about our lives in eternity. Jesus said in John 14, "I go to prepare a place for you."
Hebrews 11:6 "God is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him."
